About ME
The Person Behind the Pixels: My Story
Hi, I'm Monika! 👋
I'm a Product Designer, who is captivated by this realm as it ignites my systems design thinking approach to design for the intricacies of human emotions, daily habits, cultural backgrounds, and thought processes.
I actually started out in architecture. Intriguing, right? It's been a wild ride, but design has always been my thing.
My goal? I want to create stuff that makes people's lives easier and maybe even a bit more fun. You know those products that just work, no instruction manual needed?
After spending 5 years in architecture school (yes, it's as intense as they say), I worked in the field for 6 years. My last job was at this crazy fast-paced startup. That's where I fell head over heels for UX design. I was working on this ERP dashboard (sounds thrilling, I know), but it made me realize how cool it is when tech and design come together. So, I decided to go all in and get a master's in Human-Computer Interaction. And that's how I got the opportunity to study at The University of Texas at Austin
Looking back, it's been quite a journey. But the best part? I feel like I'm just getting started. There's so much more to explore and create. Always up for a design challenge and a good laugh along the way!
